Triduum Morning Prayer

Liturgy of the Hours –
Triduum Morning Prayer

The summit of the Liturgical Year is the Easter Triduum—from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday. Though chronologically three days, they are liturgically one day unfolding for us the unity of Christ’s Paschal Mystery.

The single celebration of the Triduum marks the end of the Lenten season, and leads to the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Easter Vigil.

There are no morning Masses celebrated on the three days of the Triduum. At St. Emily, we participate in a structured Morning Prayer, part of the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office, the daily prayer of the Church. You are invited to join us in church for the prayer or participate virtually through our 8:30 stream via Facebook ( or YouTube (

Thursday, April 1 [Holy Thursday] 8:30 am
Friday, April 2 [Good Friday] 8:30 am
Saturday, April 3 [Holy Thursday] 8:30 am

NOTE: If planning to participate in church, you must pre-register.

Down load a copy of the morning prayer for each day of the Triddum so you can pray along at home.
