Sue and her family have been members of St. Emily since 1990. In the early years, Sue, Bill and her boys, Patrick and Andrew, were well known in the school and parish, being involved not only at school activities (boys are St. Emily alumni), running fundraisers, Scouts (both boys are Eagle Scouts) and volunteering when needed. Sue is very proud of her family. Her boys are Notre Dame College Prep alumni. Patrick graduated from Valparaiso University, IN with a degree in Meteorology, Andrew graduated from Miami University, OH with a degree in Zoology & Environmental Sciences.

Sue began working part time at the school in the Extended Care program and worked her way up to school secretary. When the job for parish secretary became available, Sue decided it was time for a change, a job which offered new challenges and a flexible schedule.

Sue has taken on the role of Protecting God’s Children site administrator, bulletin editor plus many others. She enjoys helping parishioners with all their needs. If she doesn’t know, she will try to find someone who does. Sue looks forward to assisting you with any of your parish needs.

Meyer was ordained in the Diocese of Peoria in 1996.  His first mass was celebrated at St. Emily on Pentecost Sunday in 1996 surrounded by family and St. Emily friends. His first assignment was in Ottawa, IL at St. Francis of Assisi where he was pastor.  He remained there until 2009 when he retired and moved back to Mt. Prospect.  He was welcomed by his home parish, St. Emily, and continues to say mass and hear confessions on a regular basis.  He also helps in surrounding parishes.  He currently serves as chaplain for Heather House at Maryville and is also chaplain for the Mt.
