"The mission of St. Emily Parish is to witness the gospel message in every aspect of life
by celebrating dynamic liturgies, providing nourishing educational opportunities, promoting social justice, and sponsoring community based activities. "

We welcome you to our parish.

Parish Re-Opening!

The Archdiocese of Chicago is lifting the vast majority of the COVID-19 restrictions and protocols that we have been following for the past year. These new guidelines begin on Friday, June 11.

  • All capacity limits have been lifted.
  • Pre-registering for and checking in at Mass is no longer required.
  • Hand sanitizing before receiving Holy Communion is no longer required. Receiving the Precious Blood through the shared cup remains suspended.
  • Masks and physical distancing are NOT required for those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Those who are not yet fully vaccinated are asked to continue following the face mask and distancing guidelines from the CDC, State of Illinois and Archdiocese of Chicago. Proof of vaccination will not be required.

Here, at St. Emily Parish:

  • Saturday Reconciliation will return to the regular Confession Room in the church. Reconciliation is offered from 3:30pm until 4:30pm.
  • Events, Meetings and Facility Use: Organization and ministry leaders are asked to wait for an e-mail from Sue Hogan before requesting meeting space on campus.
  • Further information regarding congregational singing, receiving Communion on the tongue and other restrictions will be communicated in the coming weeks.

We thank everyone for your continuing commitment to keep our entire parish community safe and healthy and ask for continuing prayers for a world-wide end to this pandemic.
