This Board serves as an advisory group to the Coordinator of Religious Education in matters pertaining to the current and future operation of the program, especially in the areas of structure, curriculum, finance, enrollment, and parent involvement.
The Board’s Mission is:
- To be a visible sign of leadership within the parish community
- To promote awareness of the Religious Education program in both St. Emily and St. Thomas Becket parishes and
- within our local civic communities
- To encourage collaboration between the RE program and other parish ministries
- To facilitate communication and encourage cooperation between local public schools and the RE program
- To welcome parents and help nurture a sense of belonging to the community
- To support and encourage adult formation and participation
- To affirm and support the Religious Ed staff, catechists, and all volunteers
- To be informed about the present and future needs of the RE program
