House Churches
Small Christian Communities
In 1999, Sr. Joanne Marie Schutz, our Pastoral Associate, began a Lenten Activity called “Disciples in Mission”. Sister’s aim was to give the community an opportunity to extend into the homes of the parishioners. The groups that formed were from the neighborhoods, same Mass attendees, friends, guilds, and even age levels. Since that time the name has changed, the amount of House Churches has increased but the idea has remained the same. Give those interested a warm, inviting environment to discuss and share their faith.
A different topic is chosen each year to use as a guide along the way. No pressure, just a great way to hear and reflect on the current readings for the Church cycle or for a specific Gospel. Some House Churches meet throughout the year.
