St. Emily's and St. Thomas Becket's
Religious Education!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in St. Emily's Religious Education program. Our sessions begin in September and run through April. There are two sessions available:
Tuesday evening 5:00-6:30pm Grades 1-6
Wednesday evening 6:00-7:30pm Grades 1-8Grades 4-6 classes are closed on Wednesday nights.
Our program is staffed mainly by volunteers and there is more information about the needs and opportunities on the following pages. If you think that you might be interested in joining this vital and fufilling ministry and would like more information, please indicate so on the Volunteer Form and send it back with your registration form, or call the office and we will be happy to answer all of your questions (ask for Joan or Pat).
For all currently enrolled St. Emily Parish families: Registration is currently ongoing. If you need forms, click on the Registration link below and print out the Registration Form, the Tuition Agreement Form and the Volunteer Form. If you are adding a new student to the program, a copy of the Baptismal certificate is required along with your registration fee of $70 and Book fees of $25 each child. They can be mailed in.
For all St. Emily Parish families new to the program: Registration is currently ongoing. While there is no late fee assessed at this time, your prompt registration is much appreciated as our staffing needs are based on enrollment figures. Classes are assigned on a first come, first served basis and some fill up faster than others. If your child was baptized outside of St. Emily Parish, you will need to supply a copy of the baptismal record. If you are transferring your child from another RE program or Catholic school, you will need to supply their transcripts.You may click on the Registration link below and print out the Registration Form and the Volunteer Form, but an appointment is needed before we process new registrations. Please call the office to make one.
For all St. Thomas Parish families: New and returning families can click the Registration link below and print out only the Registration Form and the Volunteer Form. Tuition and fees will be billed out of the St. Thomas Religious Education office.
Many parents are surprised to learn that the amount of tuition per child does not equal the cost of education per child. While public schools receive funding from state and local taxes, our Catholic school and Religious Education have only the parish to rely on for additional funding. Our parish's only source of income is through donations. Parishioners who go to church every Sunday and make contributions to the Sunday Offertory collection are helping to subsidize the costs of Religious Education that are not covered by tuition alone. Parishioners who choose not to support the parish financially or otherwise are required to pay the full cost of their child's tuition.
